Emergency Assistance and Advocacy Program

Are you experiencing hardship and need assistance? This program combines financial assistance and a community network of organizations to help low-income households. We can provide help with:

  • food
  • medical needs (e.g. prescriptions)
  • transportation
  • clothing

Staff also provides personal empowerment support to help clients develop skills that assist with self-sufficiency. Our support is designed to help low-income households that are normally able to make ends meet, but occasionally need help when unexpected emergencies arise. Assistance may include referral to other community groups and agencies.

The Ministry of Children & Family Development partially funds all SOS Child, Youth & Family Programs.

To register for this program, please call 250-248-2093 ext. 241.

The program takes place at 245 West Hirst Ave, Parksville.
