PROGRAM COORDINATOR

SOS! SOS is a volunteer-based non-profit organization meeting the needs and improving the lives of
District 69 residents since 1968. SOS provides more than 25 local programs and services to all ages,
including programs that meet basic needs, and promote healthy living and social connections.
The Meals on Wheels Coordinator oversees and organizes the day-to-day operations of the Meals
on Wheels program to provide nutritious meals to District 69 residents; including management of
volunteers, preparation of route sheets and meal labels, maintaining the client database, and program
intakes. You will work in partnership with our off-site meal preparation kitchen and their dietician
to develop quarterly menu plans, work in the kitchen on service days to assist in meals packing, and
deliver meals if needed. As a member of the Administration Team, you will provide reception
coverage when needed.

Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to work both independently, and in a team in a fast-paced, busy, dynamic environment.
Strong administrative skills, knowledge and experience in office procedures and computers
(Microsoft 365, specifically Excel, Outlook, SharePoint/OneDrive) are required.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience in one-on-one client work in the social services sector, including dealing with
challenging client situations, preferred.
Previous experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
is an asset.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Compensation: $43,680 annual salary
Start Date: Negotiable
