Parksville

SOS Thrift Shop 3.5 hours a week, either am or pm. (or whatever fits your schedule).
*High need for cashiers. Also need assistance to tag donated items and help stock shelves.

School Nite Out (Grades 7, 8 & 9) – Tuesdays 3:30-6:30 pm
Teen Nite  (Grades 10,11 & 12) – Tuesdays 3:30-6:30 pm
Hang out and mentor youth, play games or music, do art and go on outings.
Kitchen help – Help prepare nutritious healthy snacks.
Program set-up help

Meals On Wheels
Help pack meal bags for delivery by volunteer drivers.

Caring for Kids at Christmas
Interested in helping out with the Christmas program? There are a number of positions available, from being a Christmas Elf in the Toyshop to taking Registrations. Please submit your application to the SOS Volunteer Coordinator by Oct. 10, 2017 to ensure participation in this year's program.

Qualicum Beach

Preschoolers on the Move - Wednesdays 9–11 am
Kitchen help - Help prepare nutritious, healthy snacks
Preschool room - Support and play with children, help them with clean up and ensure that they are safe.

Girl Talk/Guyz Time  (Grades 4, 5, & 6) - Thursdays 3–5 pm
Kitchen help - Help prepare nutritious healthy snacks.

Youth Open Space  (High School Students) – Wednesdays 3:30-5:30 pm
Hang out and mentor youth, play games or music, do art and go on outings.
Kitchen help – Help prepare nutritious healthy snacks.

Better At Home
Grocery Bus/Shopping Attendants – Every second Friday

Help seniors with grocery shopping, and sit with them for a coffee break before heading home.
Male Friendly Visitors – play a game of cards, do a puzzle, share stories, visit in a senior’s home etc.
Drivers – Take clients to non-medical appointments: hairdresser, banking, personal shopping etc.
