SOS Board of Directors – Nominations of Candidates from Members
The SOS Nominating Committee is currently inviting members with an interest in serving on the Board of Directors to submit their resume by December 31. Each year, we ask our members to consider supporting our organization in this very important way.
The role of the SOS Board of Directors is to provide oversight to the overall governance of SOS. Each Board Director will serve either a one- or two-year initial term and may stand for re-election to a maximum of eight years.
We ask that you have time to attend our monthly Board meetings and you can also commit to attend the Board committees that interest you. While some of our Directors have had previous experience on Boards, this is not mandatory. Rather, we look for people with a broad range of skills that will help us guide our organization both now and in the future. Successful Directors have a strong sense of community and a desire to make a difference, and have the ability to develop consensus with others to get things done.
We ask that you please consider serving as a member of the Board.
