Oceanside Better at Home

WE’RE GIVING SENIORS A HAND

Seniors are an important and integral part of the Oceanside community.  The Oceanside Better at Home program helps seniors with simple day-to-day tasks, allowing them to maintain their independence and stay
connected to the community.

The program provides a range of non-medical support services to local seniors (aged 65+) who are experiencing two or more of the following vulnerabilities:

  • Low to modest income
  • Low to moderate frailty
  • Social isolation
  • Member of an under-served population

Program placement is also subject to service availability.

SOS Volunteers assist with:

  • Friendly visiting
  • Transportation to non-medical appointments
  • Grocery shopping on the SOS Grocery Bus

In addition, Oceanside Better at Home provides Light housekeeping on a sliding scale based on income.
