SOS is a volunteer-based non-profit organization meeting the needs and improving the lives of District 69 residents since 1968. SOS provides more than 20 local programs and services to all ages, including programs that meet basic needs and promote healthy living and social connections.
The SOS Resource Development Assistant supports relationship‑building with community stakeholders and assists in planning and delivering special events. Your duties include donor database data entry and reporting, maintaining accurate and confidential records, supporting written communications (including responsible use of AI tools), operational and administrative support, and participation in team meetings and training.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Program – between 19 and 30 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada
- High school diploma. Some college/university courses an asset.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and databases.
- Aptitude for and interest in data entry, data reporting, and database management.
- Ability to work effectively with the SOS team and stakeholders.
- Ability to commit to occasional evening/weekend work related to supporting events and lift/move boxes and other related activities that require physical mobility.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week
Compensation: $18.25/hour (+ 4% vacation pay)
Contract Dates: May 11 to July 10, 2026 (9 weeks)
