SOS VOLUNTEER & DONOR RESOURCE COORDINATOR

SOS is a volunteer-based non-profit organization meeting the needs and improving the lives of District 69 residents since 1968. SOS provides more than 20 local programs and services to all ages, including programs that meet basic needs and promote healthy living and social connections.

The Volunteer & Donor Resources Coordinator Membership, Volunteer, and Donor Resources are administered in a professional and efficient manner. Promotes volunteer opportunities through public presentations and ensures appropriate volunteer recruitment, training, and appreciation. Processes donation receipts, prepares reports, and coordinates internal and external events. Assists with building long-term relationships with key community stakeholders.

 Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Completion of related post-secondary training or a minimum of two years’ related experience.
  • Experience in recruitment, supervision, and business, volunteer, and donor relations preferred.
  • Experience with data entry, data reporting, and database management. Experience with DonorPerfect is an asset.
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector is an asset.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing events such as seminars is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills and experience in office procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills including oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal relations.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive) and databases.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, non-profit groups, agencies, and donors.
  • Ability to commit to occasional evening/weekend work related to supporting events and lift/move boxes and other related activities that require physical mobility.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.

Hours of Work:     35 hours per week
Compensation:     $24.00/hour (+ benefits listed above)
