Give hope during hardship
Shorter days and darker winter skies can often bring on melancholy and a feeling of hopelessness, especially after the holidays. And for residents who are facing extreme hardship, this time of year is particularly dire.
We’ve seen a steady increase over the past few years in the number of families and seniors who must turn to SOS for assistance in order to meet their basic needs at this time of year. That’s why we must turn to supporters like you to ask for your continued help.
Your donation to the Winter Emergency Fund will provide much needed hope in the form of vouchers for things like food, gas, propane and medical prescriptions as well as essentials through our Thrift Shop. That’s often enough to keep people in their homes while they work towards stability.
Your donation will also help residents with mental health supports and advocacy assistance.
Many local lives will be improved because of your support. Thank you.
